“#MOUTH FIDDLE"

A walking stick over which a violin string is stretched; its sound carries across a thread and a plastic pick to the oral cavity, serving as a resonance chamber - the part of human body best suited for this - the emptiest and most hollow of course: the head!

Hans Tschiritsch, a very creative instrument maker and sound researcher from Vienna, constructed my mouth fiddle. The solo at the end does not stem from an electric guitar, but is produced by my vocal cords.

Ein Gehstock, auf dem eine Geigensaite gespannt ist, deren Klang über einen Faden und ein Plastik-Plektrum in den Mundraum übertragen wird, der als Resonanzkörper dient − denn welcher Teil des menschlichen Körpers würde sich in diesem Fall besser eignen als der leerste bzw. hohlste: der Kopf!

Meine Maulgeige hat Hans Tschiritsch angefertigt, ein fantasievoller Instrumentenbauer und Klangforscher aus Wien. Das E-Gitarren-Solo am Schluss kommt von keiner E-Gitarre, sondern von meinen Stimmbändern.
